In medical technology applications, grades of stainless steel can experience various surface changes, including the formation of corrosion. A frequent cause of this can be found in the preparation process (for detailed information, we would refer you to the expert group on instrument preparation, www.a-k-i.org).

We therefore recommend the use of various care materials, e.g. our hi-tech oils, to extend the service life of reusable instruments made of stainless steel.
